Bernadette Ann Gillie

Bernadette Bernie (Turkovsky)(Dojcak) Gillie of Elizabeth Twp., formerly of West Mifflin, passed with family at her bedside. Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt. Her strong will, positivity, and radiant smile were an inspiration to all who knew her. A retired waitress at B'nai Israel Synagogue and York Steakhouse, she was a member of the Elizabeth Twp. Seniors, a past president of The Woman’s Club of Elizabeth. She belonged to the Knights of Pythias and the Golden Oldies bowling leagues and the Wednesday Wonders golf league. Born in Munhall she was the daughter of the late John (Fritz)(Sailor) Turkcovsky and Mary Margaret Medvec. Widow of the late Edward Dojcak and sister of the late Irene Turcovsky. Survived by husband Robert E. Gillie of Elizabeth, brother John P. Turcovsky of Verona, son Michael J. (Janice) Dojcak of Oklahoma, daughter Sandra L. Dojcak of Elizabeth, stepson Robert L. (Renee) Gillie of West Newton, seven grandchildren, Brittany Dojcak, Kaylee (Joey) Sims, and Justin Dojcak of Oklahoma, Danielle (Shawn Alston) Dojcak of Baldwin, Dr. Brandon (Theresa) GIllie, Garrett Gillie, and Aaron Gillie of West Newton, seven great grandchildren Noah Alston, Asher Alston, Poppy Dojcak, Alex Gillie, Claire Gillie, Lydia Gillie, Gianna Gillie, niece Carrie (Wes) Wagner of Moon, nephew John Paul (Brandi) Turcovsky of Verona, great aunt to Sam Wagner, Emma Wagner, and Sloane Turkovsky and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends of whom she deeply cared for. Friends will be received, Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 10 AM to Noon at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. A funeral service will be held at Noon following visitation. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Round Hill Cemetery.
