Carmella Margaret Prailey, 85, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026. She was born February 20, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Phillip and Margaret Augustine of McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Carmella was the former Owner and Administrator of Prailey's Auto Body, Inc., in Versailles with her late husband, Richard James Prailey, who passed away April 4, 2022. They were members of the Lions Club and Pittsburgh TriState chapter of National Corvette Restorers Society. She was a very competitive tennis player, loved cooking & critiquing sauce recipes, wintered in Florida and enjoyed traveling with family including going on cruises. She had a way of making everyone's day brighter with ample compliments, spunky attitude and her genuine smile. She was beloved as "Mama Prailey" to her extended in-law family and "Carm Claus" to her Florida friends. In her later years, she finally got to visit Italy twice where she blended with the locals seamlessly, even though she only knew "colorful" Italian phrases. She was also very hands on with the family business which is now owned/operated by their son, Scott Prailey. She was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church. She is survived by her son, Scott (Peggy Carpenter) of Jefferson Hills; daughter, Roxanne (Collin) Kelly of Winchester, VA; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Augustine. There is no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 10 AM at Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church. Inurnment will follow in the Garden Columbarium at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director. In leiu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, Pennsylvania 15131.
