Charlotte J. Abramovitz, 80, of West Newton, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1945, in McKeesport, and was the daughter of the late William H. and Nedra (Neidermyer) Jones. Charlotte graduated Elizabeth Forward High School and attended Danville University in Virginia. She also attended Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church, in Elizabeth Township. Charlotte dedicated her career to retail and food service, most notably working at Scozio's for 20 years. At home, she was known for her delicious cakes topped with her signature homemade butter cream icing and her famous chocolate chip cookies, which she lovingly shared with family and friends. A woman of many talents, Charlotte found joy in knitting and crocheting beautiful blankets, sweaters, and scarves. She also enjoyed reading, especially novels and mysteries. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Sheldon S. Abramovitz; her daughters, Heather Abramovitz and Mindy (Ryan) McMahon; and her grandchildren, Quinn and Patrick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Laura Lee (Terry) Bunton. Friends are welcome on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
