Chris "Red" Evanov

Chris “Red” Evanov, 58, of Greenock, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026. He was born June 29, 1967 in Homestead to the late Albert A. and Violet Mae (Kubancsek) Evanov. Red devoted 35 years of his life to VISTA Metals, where he worked as a skilled machinist known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, his true passion was the open road. Alongside his kids when they were growing up, Chris spent countless weekends creating memories and chasing adventures that never stopped. Later in life, he got a Harley - and now, with his wife Amy, the weekend trips to Rocky Gap became a special spot. One trip planned for an anniversary, the next, just because - one after another, year-round. That place brought happiness to the both of them. He was the definition of fun-loving-charismatic, loud in the best way possible, and full of life. He had a presence that filled every room and a personality that drew people in effortlessly. Whether it was a spontaneous road trip, a wild weekend adventure, or simply sharing a laugh, Chris made every moment bigger and brighter. Everyone who knew him loved him, and those who crossed his path were better for it. He is survived by his wife of 22+ years, Amy C. (Boyles) Evanov; his sons, Christopher "CJ" Evanov of Greenburg, Jesse (Bre Weston) Evanov of Claridge, and Joey (Jacque) Molnari of Steubenville, OH; his 3 grandchildren, Tristan, Orion, and Kuiper Evanov; his brother, Albert "Al" (Annette) Evanov of Linesville; his sister, Danette (Earl) Freeman of Greensburg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. Chris will be deeply missed, but forever remembered.
