Connie Griswold, 72, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 at home surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness. She was born April 1, 1952 in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Harry T. and Dorothy (Mullin) Griswold. She obtained an Associate Degree from Robert Morris University and started her career as Executive Secretary for CNG Transmission, now Dominion Resources for 25 years. She then followed her passion for the elderly and became Activities Director at The Grove at Latrobe Nursing Home for 16 years. Connie loved to travel, visiting many National Parks and Historical Sites, sailing with family on the Pamlico Sound in North Carolina, golfing particularly with her league "The Manoretts", music of all kinds, volunteering, reading, nature and the outdoors and spending time with neighbors and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step mother and friend, Sandy Huebenthal and dear friend William Clayton. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Griswold and his wife Kathleen of Fort Collins, CO., nephews, Jason (Kelly) Griswold and their son, Ellis of Vernal, Utah and Richard (Anne) Griswold and their daughter Grace of Arvada, CO. Also surviving are her step-family, JoAnna Huebenthal and Glenda (John) Oshop of Murfreesboro, TN., cousin, Sandy Griswold of Rehoboth Beach, DE., and fur babies, Harlow and Huck.
