Diane Renee Tasik

Diane Renee Tasik, 58, of Irwin, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026 after a courageous battle with bone marrow cancer. She was born April 23, 1968 in McKeesport and was the daughter of Christine Magiske Yanderlic and the late John Pershing. Diane worked at several locations during her nursing career. She worked at Forbes Hospital in Oncology and wound care, West Penn Hospital in Hematology drug trials for bone marrow patients, She did cancer research for UPMC, and also worked for Bridge's Hospice. She recently began attending Bridge City Church in White Oak. Diane was a resilient woman, who was known for giving herself in the fullest capacity, whether it be to nursing, party planning or to her family. She was a very nice and compassionate person, who always went above and beyond to help others. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs and would volunteer her time at many area animal shelters. She was an avid traveler, who enjoyed both driving and cruising to Alaska, taking cross country trips, visiting National Parks and had been to every state but three. Diane loved the outdoors, was great a fishing, enjoyed camping in a tent and was very competitive. Diane also enjoyed going on long bicycle rides and visiting North Carolina and Erie. Most importantly, Diane loved her family, family was the most important thing to her. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Glenn J. Tasik; children, Kristen (Josh) McCree, Michael (Jason) Skiffington, and Rebecca "Becca" Radeshak; and her brother, John (Michele) Pershing. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Dotty Pershing. Friends are welcome on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.
