Donna L. Munnell-Priselac, 67, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of June 28, 2026, with cherished friends by her side, just two days before her 68th birthday. Born on June 30, 1958, Donna was the only daughter of the late Donald and Gail (Miller) Munnell. Her family's roots in the McKeesport area stretched back to the Civil War, a heritage she held with pride. Growing up, Donna was proudly "Daddy's Little Girl." She shared a close bond with her father and treasured the many hours she spent with her beloved grandmother, Ruth Miller, whose love and guidance helped shape her life. After graduating from South Allegheny High School, Donna was briefly married before beginning her career alongside her parents at the family-owned gas station and convenience store. After a number of years in banking, she went on to become a respected and successful manager of several convenience stores throughout the region, retiring in 2025 after many years of dedicated service. Donna was a fierce and outspoken advocate for animal welfare. She devoted much of her free time to rescuing, caring for, and fundraising on behalf of animals, with a special devotion to cats. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of countless animals, and her unwavering commitment to their care left a lasting difference. Donna is survived by her cousins throughout the country, including Debra Maclyman and Cynthia Claxton of Nevada; Constance Munnell of Oregon; Susan Orner, Merry Eagle, and Bryand Munnell of Pennsylvania; Alan Munnell of North Carolina; and Howard Gault and Bill Schultz of Kentucky. She is also survived by the dear friends who lovingly cared for her during the final months of her courageous battle with illness. Of all those she leaves behind, perhaps none will miss her more than her beloved cats, Tiger and Cosmo, who were the joy of her life and the recipients of her boundless love and compassion. Donna will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering compassion for animals, her dedication to her work, and the deep love she shared with her family, friends, and every cat fortunate enough to find its way into her care.
