Dorothy V. Pohodich, 89, of The Grand Residence of Upper St. Clair, formerly of Greenock, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026. She was born October 4, 1936 in Duquesne and was the daughter of the late Rade Caric and the late Helen (Margita) Caric Poti. She was the beloved wife of Emil Pohodich, who passed away February 24, 2019. Dorothy was a member of Saint Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, in McKeesport, where she also was a member of The Altar Society. She was an excellent cook and a member of the former Women's Club of Greenock. Most importantly she was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that loved her husband and children and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her sons, Emil (Barbara) Pohodich, Edward (Karen) Pohodich, Robert (Robyn Kingsley) Pohodich, and Gregory Pohodich; grandchildren, Amy (Buck) Thornton, Kristy (Michael) Preston, Alexandra Pohodich, Aden Pohodich, Lindsey Pohodich, Gregory Pohodich, Brianna (Ian) Suppo and Joshua Pohodich; great-grandchildren, Makayla Thornton, Isabella Thornton, Avery Preston, Caleb Preston and Scarlett Suppo; and her sister, Mary Ann Loechli. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Louise Pohodich; granddaughter, Bethany Lynn Pohodich; and siblings, Robert Caric, Raymond Caric, George Caric, Mildred Tankosic and Rose Banderinko. There will not be any visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Saint Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, 410 Sixth Avenue, McKeesport, PA 15132 at 10:00 am (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Private Inurnment will be held at St. Nicholas Cemetery, North Versailles.
