Elizabeth Jane Swank

Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Swank, 101, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Point Pleasant Retirement Community in North Versailles. Betty was born August 23, 1924 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Elizabeth (Wohl) McCusker. She was the wife of the late Merwyn Swank, who passed away October 3, 1989. She was a former member of St. Patrick Church in Christy Park, where she was apart of The Christian Mothers and Ladies of Charity Groups and was a current member of Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish, where she attended St. Michael Church. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her Bachelors Degree. Betty worked as an auditor for The Department of Defense and was also an avid painter. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her step-daughter, Marilyn Lee (Robert) Hau; special friends, Andrew and Hannah Kuzma and their children, Natalie and Sadie; cousins and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas J. McCusker, Joseph E. McCusker and James P. McCusker. Friends are welcome on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish- St. Michael Worship Site, 101 McLay Drive, Elizabeth, PA 15037 (PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
