Flora Evelyn (Castro) Klein

Flora Evelyn (Castro) Klein, 87, of White Oak, formerly of Port Vue, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She was born May 26, 1934 in Duquesne and was the daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Fulks) Castro. She was the wife of the late Curtis H. Klein who passed away November 9, 2002. Flora was a longstanding member of Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak. She was a homemaker, worked at Johnston the Florist, and was active with the Girl Scouts, Port Vue Athletic Association, South Allegheny Football Boosters, Cub Scout Den Mom, and the Pastels Bowling League. She was also an Amateur Artist and was a member of the McKeesport Artist Guild. She loved nature and enjoyed watching the birds, squirrels, chipmunks, turkey, rabbits, fox and deer in her backyard. She will be sorely missed by her children, Darlene (Alfred) Vila of Liberty Borough, Curtis A. (Helen) Klein of Pittsburgh, Kevin Klein of Butler, and Lara (Michael) Ravida of Gibsonia, sisters, Rose Marie Castro of Slippery Rock, Darlene (Stanley) Gavron of Liberty Borough, and Mary Ann (Ernest) Pope of Butler, brother, Donald (Vernice) Castro of Berlin, grandsons, Michael (Alyshia) Ravida, Jr., Bryan (Angel) Ravida, Anthony Vila, Jason Totty, Nicholas Ravida, and Jeremy Vila, and great-grandchildren, Kaily, Colton and Riley Ravida. She was also very fond of her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Frank Castro, Jr., Dolores Scalise and Geraldine Nesiti.
