Gayle Elizabeth Bales

Gayle Elizabeth Bales, 81, of Monroeville, formerly of Versailles Boro, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022. She was born May 7, 1941 in McKeesport and the daughter of the late Gordon C. and Alma E. (Dobrish) Kengle. She was the wife of the late Charles Lester Bales who passed away October 19, 2020. Gayle was a nurse for over 35 years at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. She was a member of the former St. John's Lutheran Church in McKeesport. Gayle enjoyed doing needle-point, embroidery, and doing sudoku, word searches and adult coloring books.. She is survived by daughter, Stacey L. (James) Lundie of Versailles; son, Glenn (Tammy) Bales of McKeesport; grandchildren, Rachel (Mitchell) Kelly, Harley (Teddy) Burkett, Jessica (Nick Grimes) Bales and Angela (Sam Boden) Bales; great-granddaughters, Jayci Shae and Karsyn Mae Kelly; and nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome on Thursday, December 22, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
