Glenn E. McLaughlin, 94 of Monroeville, formerly of Liberty Boro, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023. He was born December 17, 1928 in McKeesport and was the son of the late James J. and Clara (Kappler) McLaughlin. Glenn was a US ARMY Veteran. Glenn worked for and retired from US Steel after many years of service. During his tenure he worked in the Christy Park and at the research center in Monroeville locations. He would also work for Airestech in Monroeville after his retirement. He was a jack of all trades and would help anyone with anything. Glenn also enjoyed traveling with his family throughout the United States and enjoyed bowling with his friends every Thursday at the former Monroebowl. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Carole L. (Nolder) McLaughlin; daughters, Debbie (Dave) Demek, Cindy (Bill) Black and Sherrie (Bob) Lee; grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley) Kostrub, Robert (Caty) Lee, and Marcy (Tim) Smith; great-grandchildren, Brady Kostrub, Collin Kostrub, Ethan Smith and Harrison Lee; brother, Ronald (the late Jane) McLaughlin, sister-in-law, Carol McLaughlin and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James (Mercedes) McLaughlin, Paul (Lida) McLaughlin, Thomas McLaughlin and Sis (Ollie) Bennett. Private family visitation was held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Private inurnment will take place at The National Cemetery of The Alleghenies in Bridgeville.
