Jacquelyn Deann Salka

Jacquelyn Deann "Jackie" Salka, 62, of Forward Township passed away June 2, 2026. She was born September 6, 1963 to the late Allen and Setsue (Kisu) Mayhugh. Jackie was a free spirit, who would always lend a helping hand but also gave the hard truth. Her passion for her garden and tending to the flowers turned into a true hobby in the recent years, as she learned from trial and error how to do pressed and epoxy flower pieces. However, there was nothing better than hopping on the back of her husband's Harley and taking a ride - as many weekend trips were planned around riding. Her dog, Blackberry, was her baby and treated the time with him like a second full time job; constantly walking him and playing in the yard. She was a loving wife, and a wonderful mother. She is survived by her husband, Robert T. "Bobby" Salka; her daughter, Taylor (Ryan) Bacci of Pittsburgh; sisters, Cathy Pierce of Elizabeth, Susie Mayhugh of Tucson AZ, and Toni Mayhugh of Elizabeth; brothers, John and James Mayhugh, of Elizabeth; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by her sister, Liz Mayhugh.
