Jody M. Fazekas

Jody M. Fazekas, 56, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026 after a courageous three year battle with colon cancer. He was born January 12, 1970 in McKeesport and was the son of Gary (Willamarie Sutherland) Friend and the late Karan M. (Fazekas) Rymarowicz, and the step-son of John Rymarowicz. Jody was a graduate of McKeesport High School and went on to work as a machinist. He was a huge baseball fan, and was a dedicated fan of The Pittsburgh Pirates. He enjoyed fishing and building and working with computers. Jody had a special affection for animals, and absolutely loved his dogs and cats. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his father and step-father, he is survived by his companion of over 20 years, Heather McCullum; aunt, Nancy Kendall; uncle, Daniel (Karen) Fazekas; cousins; extended family; his dogs, Porter and Willow; and his cats, Tillman, Tilly and Cole. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris Jean Fazekas, and grandfather, Albert Fazekas. There will not be any visitation or services, per Jody's request. Private burial will be held at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
