John Thomas "Tom" Hepline, Jr., 82, of Dravosburg passed away Sunday, October 11, 2026. He was born May 4, 1944 in Pittsburgh to the late John Hepline, Sr., and the late Margaret (Bohm) Hepline. John graduated high school and served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. After his time serving, he came home and worked alongside his father. Later in life, after his father died, he moved down to Greene County, where he served 47 years as a fireman for the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department. As he got older, he eventually moved back to Dravosburg, where he enjoyed the slower life - crossword puzzles, gardening, and morning walks through his neighborhood - people called him "Walking Tom." He is survived by his sisters, Lois (James) Koontz of Beaver Creek, OH, and Elaine (the late Russell G. Ashman, Jr.) Ashman of Dravosburg; as well as nephews, Kenneth L. and Neal A. Koontz, and their families. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, director. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, October 23, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Richland Cemetery, Dravosburg (road construction will cause delay, so travel accordingly).
