John Knezovich

June 6, 1948 — February 15, 2023

John "Fever" Knezovich, 74, of McKeesport, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023. He was born June 6, 1948 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Kuzma) Knezovich. John was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in McKeesport. He worked various jobs prior to his retirement including, being a former financial controller for McKeesport Hospital, Jefferson Hospital and the City of McKeesport, as well as being a Chief Operating Officer for Better's Demolition and for the former Universal Service Technologies, Inc. John loved his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their sporting events. He was known to have a huge network of friends and family and was known as "Fever" for his Karaoke skills. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Barbara A. (Betters) Knezovich; daughters, JoAnna (Matthew) Grisik of Atlanta, GA, and Nicole (Michael) Jamison of Cleveland, OH; son, Frank D. Knezovich of Mars, PA; grandchildren, Michael, Isaac and Connor Jamison, Johna, J. Marshall, Brooks and Ryann Grisik, and Frank and Abram Knezovich; brother, Robert (Elaine) Knezovich; sister, Diann (Robert) Mirenzi; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Private family visitation and blessing was held Friday, February 17, 2023, The Rev. Gregory Madeya, officiated. A memorial mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
