June A. Halvorson McElravy, 95, of White Oak, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Mt. View Memory Care Home in Greensburg, PA. She was born June 12, 1928 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John Halvorson, Sr. and Anna Widen Halvorson. She was the loving wife of Glenn McElravy, who passed away on September 18, 2006. She worked for Bell Telephone of PA in their McKeesport office. She was an earlier member of St. John Lutheran Church in McKeesport where she taught Sunday School. More recently she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak where she helped with altar care and was involved with its woman's groups. June belonged to White Oak Chapter 2294 of the American Association of Retired Persons, Pioneers, Eastern Star and served as a volunteer in the gift shop of McKeesport Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Patti (Bob) Nestor of North Huntingdon and son, Glen (Andrea) McElravy of Wilmington, Delaware; seven grandchildren, Kelley (Barry) Nestor, Robert Nestor, Zac Nestor, Joseph (Taylor) McElravy, Andrew McElravy, Mary Faith (Andrew) Cressman and Ana (Nathan) McElravy; five great-grandchildren, Kylee Priestley, Gage Nestor, Reagan Nestor, Riley Nestor and Frankie Wittler. Friends and family will be received Thursday from 4-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, director. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions to Faith Lutheran Church, White Oak.
