Kathleen L. "Kathi" Wakefield, 82, most recently of Pittsburgh, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2026. Kathi was born January 25, 1944 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Theodore Fred and Helen (Marks) Wakefield. She was the wife of over 30 years to the late Raymond L. Olivere, who passed way September 16, 2017. Kathi truly enjoyed learning, and after graduation from McKeesport High School, she went on to study at Grove City, Ohio University where she earned her BFA in communications. She would go on to study at Drexel, where she earned her MBA in Organizational Development. Kathi, known professionally as Kathryn Wakefield, lived most of her life in New York City, where she was founder and director of MORE for Women, Inc., one of the nation's first career counseling centers for women. She went on to speak publicly for many years, traveling for CareerTrack, as well as her own Kathryn Wakefield Associates, a management consulting and training firm. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her brother, David M. (Frances) Wakefield; sister, Sarajaine (Nicholas) Vay; a niece, nephews, cousins, and her lifelong best friend, Suzanne Keough.

There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at Mount Vernon Cemetery, with Ray Beard, Minister, officiating.
