Keith Peter Scharding, 72, passed away peacefully at UPMC Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. He was born October 2, 1951 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late Richard and Natalie (Topkins) Scharding. Keith graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Environmental Studies. Keith had a lifelong interest in Philosophy and Religion and is the author of a book; Historical Insights into the New Millennia. He is survived by a daughter, Tobey; brother, Stephen; 2 granddaughters; a niece and two nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm at The Temple B’nai Israel Cemetery, 770 Center St, McKeesport (Versailles Boro), PA 15132. The Rabbi Howie Stein, will be officiating. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.
