Lois Mae Haughey, 92, of Bedford, formerly of White Oak, passed away, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at her daughter's home. She was born August 31, 1928 in Duquesne and was the daughter of the late John William and Helen Marie (Corcoran) Straub. She was the wife of the late Jerome G. Haughey, who passed away December 27, 2010. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God, St. Angela Parish and the Ladies of Charity, where she was known for her baking during the bake sales. Lois was a 1949 graduate of the West Penn School of Nursing and would work as a registered nurse for 44 years for West Penn Hospital and later McKeesport Hospital. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and would attend games with friends. Lois offered her home as a place to gather for Christmas and other holidays, of which her family has nothing but fond and happy memories. She is survived by daughter, Mary Lou (Neil) Waugerman of Bedford, son, Kevin (the late Annette) Haughey of White Oak, son, Jerome " Henry" (Cyndi) Haughey of Aurora, OH, daughter-in-law, Debbie Haughey of Glassport, sister, Eileen Schorr of West Mifflin, brother, James Straub of Wauseon, OH, sisters-in-law, Mary "Molly" Haughey of North Huntingdon and Marlene Straub of West Mifflin, grandchildren, Jacob Benjamin (Danielle) Waugerman, Michael Miller, Erin Marie Haughey, Cara Colleen (Ian Akers) Haughey, Jerome Thomas "JT" Haughey and Hannah Maureen Haughey, great-grandchildren, Lincoln James Waugerman and Rylee Miller, special niece, Linda Schorr and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gregory James "Eggs" Haughey, brother, John "Jake" Straub and brother-in-law, Robert Schorr.
