Mary Ann McGuire

February 10, 1957 — November 11, 2021

Mary Ann McGuire, 64, of Elizabeth Township passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family on Thursday November 11, 2021. She was born February 10, 1957 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late William James and Joan Frances (McLinden) McGuire. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - St. Patrick Church and was also a member of the Twentieth Century Club. Mary was a 1975 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and a 1977 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Licensed Registered Nurse since 1978 and was actively employed as a Catastrophic Case Manager for Cigna for the last 22 years. Winning numerous awards and recognition throughout the years, working as a Case Manager was something she truly enjoyed. Her patients often became friends. This was a natural occurrence for decades simply due to the level of care and attention she would give to every family. To know Mary, was to love Mary. It is just that simple. With a smile on her face and hugs and kisses for everyone, she would light up any room she entered. Her kindness and willingness to give to others was unmatched. Raising her only daughter and residing in the Greenock community for over 20 years, Mary was the nurse of the neighborhood. If someone needed their blood pressure checked she was there. A bandage changed after surgery, she was there. Anything anyone ever needed, she was there to help. Nursing was not only her career, it was her true passion. Her daughter Victoria was the light of her life, but she was also blessed with two grandchildren who brought her more joy and happiness than she could have imagined. Mary will be deeply missed by many, but the love and kindness she gave to o many will live on forever. She is survived by her daughter, Victoria Ann (Matthew) McKenzie of South Huntingdon Twp., grandchildren, Danica and Easton McKenzie, sister, Megan McGuire of Pittsburgh, brothers, Kevin McGuire of China, Patrick (Christine) McGuire of Elizabeth Township, and Paul (Florence) McGuire of Flagstaff, AZ, sister-in-law, Natasha McGuire of Seattle, WA, and nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
