Patricia M Wingertsahn, 90, formerly of Elizabeth Township, Mt. Oliver, and Knoxville, peacefully passed away Monday, September 26, 2026. Pat was born August 19, 1936, in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Siwik) Miller. After high school graduation Pat took a job at the then Bell Telephone Company in Allentown (Pittsburgh) as a switchboard operator where she joined her lifelong best friend and wedding maid of honor Sally Enscoe (who recently passed away). Her strong work ethic instilled in her children a foundation that honest hard work will pay off. Pat retired from Verizon after more than 30 years of service and enjoyed more years of retirement than working years.
Pat met the love of her life, husband Rich on Knox Ave. where he lived, as he would wash his car knowing the time she would be walking home from work. Pat and Rich married on September 14, 1957, and soon after, started their family. They enjoyed over 61 years together until Rich passed away in January 2019. Pat was never the same after the loss of her husband.
Pat loved country music, especially Johnny Cash, her perennial flower garden, feeding the wild birds and wildlife.
She is survived by her children Richard J. (Carol) Wingertsahn Jr., of Chartiers Twp (formerly of Dormont), Susan M. Savage, of Grove City, Ohio (formerly of Cincinnati) and Jerome A. Wingertsahn, of West Mifflin; brother Arthur J (Wendie) Miller of Natrona Heights, grandchildren, Megan, Paula, Richard (RJ), Jackson (Jake) and Theodore (Ted); great-grandchildren, Eva, Jackson, Eli, Clayton, Edith, Delilah, Russell, Emerson and Flora; cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial and celebration of life service will be held 10:00 AM Friday November 13, 2026, at Our Lady of Miraculous Metal Catholic Church (St Oscar Romero Parish) 300 West Pike St. Meadowlands, PA (Washington).
