Raymond Richard Little of Monroeville, formerly of Elizabeth Township and North Huntingdon Township, died Thursday December 24, 2020. Born in Glassport, he was raised in the Coal Valley area of Clairton. In high school he developed his desire for electronic equipment, building radios from scratch. He went on to apprentice as an electrician at the USS National Tube Works in McKeesport eventually becoming an estimator for the Electrical Maintenance Division. He became a master electrician before retiring from USS Clairton Steel Works. Ray was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, having been baptized for 75 years. He loved exploring the Bible and sharing its message of hope with others. He was a member of the Plum Borough congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Ray was a devoted husband and father. He thrived on hard work and was known for helping others in need. His friends all remember his warm smile. Throughout his life he loved time spent with his family, days at Kennywood Park, dancing with his lovely wife Phyllis, skating, swimming, camping and other outdoor activities. He enjoyed baking bread using his mother’s recipe and everyone enjoyed his specialty, biscotti. Ray is survived by his dear wife of 70 years Phyllis Jean Zewe, seven children, eleven grandchildren and one great grandson. Daughter Suzan (John) Van Til; daughter Sally (Michael) Dahma, their daughters Sarah, Rebekah and Elizabeth; son Mark (Tonya, deceased), their daughter Jacquelyn (Laeken) Miller and their son Stone, and Brian (Katherine); son Brad (Patty), their son Cory; son Paul (Michelle), their son Luke and daughter Natalie; daughter Lois (Jake) Lyle; son Russell (Candy), and their sons Samuel (Allison), Nickolas (Isabelle), and their daughter Paisley. Also his brother Ron (Violet) of White Oak and many nieces and nephews. Ray is preceded in death by his firstborn son Richard Raymond, his parents Herbert James Sr. and Madelyn (Grice), and his brothers Herbert Jr. and Lynwood "Butch". Ray had strong faith in God’s promise of an earthly resurrection to everlasting life on a paradise earth based on basic scriptural truths found at Acts 24:15, John 5:28,29, John 11 and Job 14:14,15. In that paradise “death and pain will be no more” (Revelation 21:3,4). There is no viewing.
