Regis J. Horochak

Regis J. Horochak, 74, of West Mifflin, passed away at home on Thursday, June 4, 2026. He was born April 1, 1952 in Braddock and was the son of the late Joseph and Kathleen (Eaton) Horochak. Regis was a carpenter for the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, where he also graduated from and received his certification. He was a devoted and loving father, a great carpenter, pool player and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins. His craftsmanship was excellent and he spent lots of time fixing and renovating his home, he was great at everything he did. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Georgiana Akerman; children, Garick Horochak of West Mifflin, Carol Horochak of West Mifflin and Joseph Horochak of Elizabeth; nieces, nephews and fur baby, Gemma. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Horochak. Friends will be received, Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
