Richard A. "Rick" Biega, 74, of White Oak, passed away Friday October 3, 2025 after a short, but intense, battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born May 29, 1951 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Francis "Frank" Biega and the late Helen (Swiencki) Biega Evanovich. Rick was a very active member of The Christy Park United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, was a lay leader, and was on the Pastoral Board. He worked as a customer service engineer for Xerox of Pittsburgh for over 25 years, and after his retirement also worked at Enterprise in Irwin. Rick was also a professional photographer. He and his wife Sharon, also had a photography business, R & S Photography, where he did wedding photography, family photos and also his favorite, scenic photography. He enjoyed children and loved to make others laugh. He was very handy, and could fix almost anything, if not he would still give his best attempt. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Sharon Margaret (Herbert) Biega; sister, Dorothy (Rich) Henderson of Port Vue; brother, Frank (Pat) Biega of Chandler, AZ; brother-in-law, Dr. Gary (Karen) Herbert of North Huntingdon; sister-in-law, Patricia (John) Moore of Hopewell; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Bill Price) Herbert, Frank Herbert, Kaye Marie Henderson, Ken (the late Debbie) Henderson, Kevin (Cheryl) Henderson, Kert (Joan) Henderson, and Holly (the late Joseph) Biega Sherman; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Ron Biega. Friends are welcome on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak (412) 672-6322 Troy J.
