Richard Daihl Woodring, 82, of Belle Vernon, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024. He was born December 28, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Leroy and Martha (Daihl) Woodring. Richard was a Pennsylvania Licensed Insurance Agent and worked for Szeiler and Associates. Woody also enjoyed hunting and fishing, Penn State and Steelers football games, as well as other Pittsburgh sports. But he always said that "the Pirates were just a Farm Team for the New York Yankees!" He is survived by his wife, Candace "Candi" (Bock) Woodring; daughters, Deborah Woodring of State College and Paulette Marie (David) Weir of Wintersprings, Fl; sons, Richard Douglas (Carla) Woodring of Mt. Dora, Fl and Dale T. (Elizabeth) of Columbia, MD; grandchildren, Luke and Maggie Lenker, Megan A., Kaylin and Brandon Woodring, and Gabriel and Owen Weir, sister, Coralie Kartez, brother, Douglas Woodring, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia A. Woodring, who passed away November 21, 2003 and sister, Joan Sabo. There is no visitation. Private burial will be held at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon at a later date.
