Rita B. Gordon

Rita B. Gordon, 60, of Duquesne, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, March 21, 2026 at home. She was born April 1, 1965 in Poughkeepsie, NY and was the daughter of the late Frank Herbert and Rita Luise (Beeck) Gordon. Rita earned her bachelors degree from the University of Phoenix and went on to work as a customer service representative. She was a wiz tech and avid reader, her favorite author was Stephen King. Rita loved the spring season, she enjoyed everything that came with spring, flowers, butterflies and cardinals. She enjoyed playing slots at the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. She was known for her amazing cooking and baking. Rita was a loving, caring, and fun spirited soul. She made friends with anyone she met. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She forever will be missed. She is survived by her children, Danielle Gordon-Holloway, Leland Ward Jr., and Leeandra Ward; grandchildren, Honesti, Heavynn, Christopher II, Michael Lee, Jae-Michael, Arabella and Leland III; great-grandchildren, Taidynn, Nova and Alice; siblings, Barbara Geyer, Frank Gordon Jr. and Erich Gordon; as well as 1 niece, 6 nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Heidi Opinsky. There will not be any visitation or services.
