Robert J. "Tumba" Sherman, 85, of Elizabeth Township, peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. He was born February 19, 1937 in Glassport, and was the son of the late Felix "Duke" and Mary (Jankowski) Sherman. He was preceded in death by siblings Ernest Sherman, Dolores (Sherman) Parenti, Raymond Sherman, and Patricia Sherman. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janice (Rack) Sherman, sons Tobias Sherman and Bob Sherman, daughters Lenore Guidotti and Tracy Carlson, stepchildren Dale (Cindy) Kuehner, Mark (Michelle) Kuehner, and Lynne Kuehner, and grandchildren Ace, Cody, Danielle, Ian, and Haley, as well as great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Robert was one of the best athletes to come out of Glassport High School and was inducted into the Glassport Hall of Fame. He assisted Janice in running the family business at Victory Hills Golf Course (formerly 7 Springs) in Elizabeth Township. He loved spending his leisure time playing cards at the golf course with his friends and traveling to Las Vegas where he previously worked as a Poker Tournament Boss. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Round Hill Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth Township at 11:00 am followed immediately by a luncheon at Victory Hills Golf Course, 357 Pineview Drive, Elizabeth Township.
