Ronald Samuel Gillie

Ronald Samuel Gillie, 82, of Versailles, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021. He was born March 2, 1939 in Elizabeth and was the son of the late James Benjamin and Katherine (Thomas) Gillie. He was a retired policeman and worked for Elizabeth Borough. After retirement, he was a electrician, motorcycle mechanic and also worked for Advanced Auto. He was a Boy Scout, Eagle Scout and a Scout Master for Pack # 133. He is survived by his sons, Jeff (fiancée Robin) Gillie of Versailles and Dave (Vicki) Gillie of Gilroy, CA, brothers, James (Jean) Gillie of Coraopolis, Bill (Betty) Gillie of Delaware and Ken (Patty) Gillie of Florida, grandchildren, Danielle (Craig) Gillie of Munhall and Gavin Gillie of Versailles, former wife and great friend, Dorothy "Cookie" Gillie , nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Oscar. There is no visitation. Private graveside service will be held at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
