Roxanne L. Williams, 71, of White Oak, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at The Baldwin Health Center. She was born August 8, 1951 in Lexington, KY and was the daughter of Ondeine Williams of Penn Hills and the late Bill L. Williams. Roxanne worked for many years as a nurse. She was very caring and helped people with traumatic brain injuries. She also worked in Geriatrics and loved that work as well. She enjoyed traveling the country as a long haul truck driver, but her greatest passion was writing poems and short stories in rhyme. She was the creator and administrator of "Poetry Rhyme", a renowned online poetry group and was a published author of her book " The Caged Bird Sings". Her poems and short stories had been on radio and broadcast in The UK on several well known radio programs. She was also a lover of nature and animals. She will be truly missed. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children who were always in her heart and mind, Tina (Greg) Gilbert and Richard (Marie) Casorio; grandchildren, Jacob Martin, Giovante Calabrese, Tayler, Brendan, Jared and Christian Casorio; a great-granddaughter, Angelina Calabrese; her siblings, Douglas (DR) Williams, Bari (Vince) Veltre, and Richard (Becky) Williams; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Teri Pert and son, Robert Calabrese. There is no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
