Shirley M. Hinick, 90, of McKeesport, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024. She was born January 18, 1934 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Charles and Marie Slagy Mansfield Wills. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School and was employed by Lippert's Restaurant in McKeesport as a restaurant manager. Shirley is survived by her son, Tom (Sue) Carter of Elizabeth Township; grandchildren, Brandon, Kelly and Heather Carter; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her children, Meredith Carter, David Carter and Peter Hinick; and brother, Merle Wills. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciationg to the staff of Kane Community Living Center and Rehab, as well as Bridges Hospice. There will be no visitation. Private inurnment was held in McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
