Stephen James DeVries

Stephen James DeVries, 59, of Buena Vista, formerly of Crestline, CA passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025. He was born and raised in South Holland, Illinois to the late Adrian and Jeanne DeVries. As one of the first employees for the major Toyota Parts and Shipping Warehouse in California, Steve worked for over 20+ years before retiring in 2018. He enjoyed watching Star Wars and Star Trek, as well as any of TV talent shows, such as American Idol, America's Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars, etc. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years to Rebekah Lynne (Trainor) DeVries, who has cared for him tremendously through all of his health issues over the years; his three children, Dakotah Lynne (Daniel) Menaugh of Paris, TN, Harper Jamie DeVries, and Ireland Bryn Noelle DeVries, both still at home; his grandson, Matthias Reign Menaugh; his sisters, Sharon Vree, and Gloria Rinehart; and their dogs, Alexander, Hermione, and Amelia.
