Thomas Scott Geyer, 77, of Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022. He was born April 10, 1945 in Wilkinsburg and was the son of the late Edward H. and Grace (Young) Geyer. Tom was a member of the Greenock United Methodist Church where he was also a Lay Reader and Lay Pastor. He was retired and had worked for ACHIVA as the Manager of Community Employment. He had previously worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken as a Training Manager and was also a Teacher at Elizabeth Forward High School from 1967 to 1980. He was a 1963 graduate of Turtle Creek High School and was also a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor and Master Degree. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dana A. (Toth) Geyer, sons, Scott E. (Jennifer) Geyer of Charleston, WV, and David L. (Lyndi) Geyer of Charlotte, NC, his grandchildren who called him "Pap", Julianna, Jaclyn, Maddilyn and Kayda, brother, Hugh (Maria) Geyer of Elizabeth Township, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Megahan who passed away, May 30, 2022.
