Thomas M. Torkos, Sr.

Thomas M. Torkos, Sr., of McKeesport passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026. He was born in Pittsburgh to the late Michael and Anna (Katora) Torkos. Tom obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering at the Penn State University, and his Masters of Business Administration "MBA" at the University of Pittsburgh - eventually working for NETL Department of Energy. He was an avid gardener, but also loved playing pool and cards with his kids and grandkids. Whether it was sitting down to watch a movie or trips to the flea markets in their earlier years - the simplicity of spending time with his wife is what mattered most. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy A. (Matta) Torkos; his son, Thomas M. (Carolyn) Torkos, Jr. of Brook Park, OH; his daughter, Kathy (Jim) Yanosko of North Huntingdon; 3 grandchildren, Emma (Ryan) Grant, Zane Yanosko, and Seth Yanosko; as well as his brother, David (Marlee) Torkos of Mt.
