William D. Bernhardy

William D. Bernhardy, 73, of Pleasant Hills, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026. He was born December 7, 1952 and was the son of the late William H. and Doris (Edwards) Bernhardy. He was a 1970 graduate from Elizabeth Forward High School, received his Bachelor's in Education from California State University of Pennsylvania in 1974. He completed his Master's Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2003. He was a teacher at Bidwell Training Center in Pittsburgh. He is survived by his brothers, Dennis (Jane) Bernhardy of The Poconos, and David (Nattie) Bernhardy of Highland, CA; sisters, Linda (Richard) Kerr of Slippery Rock and Kathleen Bernhardy of Boston; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Adele Bernhardy and sister, Doris Matthews. There is no visitation. Private committal services will be held at Mount Vernon Cemetery in the Garden Mausoleum.
