William L. Dewyer

William L. "Bill" Dewyer, 86, of McKeesport, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020. He was born June 29, 1934 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John and Molly (Garfinkle) Dewyer. He was the husband of the late Carol B. Dwyer who passed away March 9, 2008. William was a Draftsman. In his career, he worked for US Steel and Westinghouse, and also taught drafting at McKeesport High School and Westmoreland County Community College. He was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his son, Michael A. Dewyer of McKeesport, nieces, Norma (Roland) Gray, Amy (Lee) Scott, and Jennifer (Ryan) Maempel, nephew, David (Susan) Braun, brother-in-law, Jack (Eleanor) Braun, sister-in-law, Jane Dewyer of McKeesport and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Dewyer, and brother, Robert Dewyer. Friends are welcome Friday, August 28, 2020 from 10-11 am at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322, Troy J. Gilbert, Director.
